Why shouldn't I build my own website?

Would you rather make money or save money? Yes, it’s cheaper to build your own website, but it’s likely not a great idea. Our web designers, programmers, writers, and marketing experts know what is required for a professional-looking website. Not only are they creative, but they are also fast and efficient. Just because you use a knife, doesn’t mean that performing surgery on yourself is a good idea.

How long does it take to build my website?

We build websites very quickly, most delays are related to clients providing us with information. Most websites are complete in 4 – 8 weeks.

Can I update my website after it is built?

Yes, definitely, you can update your own website after it is created. You will be provided with a login and password to be able to do your own editing. Alternately, you can email us your changes and we will complete them for you within three business days.

I don't have any content - can you help?

We have a very structured process to get the necessary content from your head to your new website. Our project managers will speak with you on the phone or you can fill out an online form to provide us with the necessary information.

Can I send you photos?

We love it when clients can supply photos. If you don’t have any, we can usually find a stock photo to fit your needs.

How do I send you large files?

Email is not the best way to send large or many files. We recommend a service (with a free option) called WeTransfer for sending us files.

Once you are a client, we will give you our production email address.

Where are you located?

We serve companies in the United States and Canada from our office in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. All of our staff are located in Canada or the United States.

Custom Features

Can I get custom features?

Our website packages are designed to provide the standard features that most websites require. Custom features are best implemented through a custom website from Honeycomb Creative.

Can you build me an e-commerce website?

If you need an e-commerce website, we recommend that you work with our parent company, Honeycomb Creative to ensure that you get the features and functionality that you need.

Billing, Payments, Refunds, Terms

When will I be billed?

Website Package Production Fees are paid in three stages. 1/3 upon order, 1/3 upon first review, and 1/3 upon launch.

Monthly payments are billed on the 1st of every month. Websites that launch after the 1st, do not get billed until the beginning of the next month.

All payments are made by credit cards. No cheques, bank drafts, or money transfers.

Can I cancel?

There is no long-term contract. You may cancel at any time. Just send us an email and we will delete your website at the end of the month or sooner if requested.

Do you charge taxes?

We charge all our Canadian clients the appropriate PST, GST, HST or combination as required. International clients are typically not subject to tax.

What currency do you charge Canadian clients?

Canadians pay in Canadian dollars with a 1-1 exchange rate. No exchange loss.

Our default currency is US dollars, but our Canadian clients are provided with 0% rate exchange. In plain English, if you live in Canada, your credit card is billed to a Canadian address and use a Canadian dollar credit card, your rate is $1 Canadian = $1 US.

Yes, we will charge fellow Canadians the appropriate tax rate, but we will not charge you in US$.

Why do you bill in US$?

Our default currency is US dollars because is the most universal currency to the majority of our international clients. In short, we have more US than European clients.

Do you store my credit card information.

We do not see or store your credit card information. All credit card payments are handled through Stripe and they adhere to all security and regulations regarding credit card processing.
